Dinner at the new Kanpai
Tonight, Rex, Andy, Angie and I went to the new Kanpai to try their Japanese BBQ. I was there last Thursday on the day of their first trial run and enjoyed a 50% discount. I also made some suggestions on the food... well, tonight, it's much better, but we no longer enjoyed the discount. Thankfully, Regis still gave me a 10% discount.Andy, me, Regis, Angie, and Karin.
This is the first dish: the ribeye. The verdict: hmmm... looks like the wrong cut... see below.
This is the Ribeye from Anjin. See the difference on the marble of the meat as well as the thickness?And this is Gyu-Kaku. The grill is the same design where the smoke suctions are built around the grill sides.
