Dinner at the new Kanpai
Tonight, Rex, Andy, Angie and I went to the new Kanpai to try their Japanese BBQ. I was there last Thursday on the day of their first trial run and enjoyed a 50% discount. I also made some suggestions on the food... well, tonight, it's much better, but we no longer enjoyed the discount. Thankfully, Regis still gave me a 10% discount.

This is the first dish: the ribeye. The verdict: hmmm... looks like the wrong cut... see below.
This is the Ribeye from Anjin. See the difference on the marble of the meat as well as the thickness?
And this is Gyu-Kaku. The grill is the same design where the smoke suctions are built around the grill sides.
